The number of New Zealand sea lion new tags and resightings by season, for the main sea lion colonies where the tag-resight programme has been active.

The New Zealand sea lion tag-resight programme has been active in the main subantarctic colonies since 1980. This table summarises the activity of the programme by year, for each of the main sea lion colonies. Enderby, Dundas, and Figure of eight are all islands in the Auckland Islands group, where around 80% of the New Zealand sea lion breeding population is found. Some sea lions have also been resighted at other islands (such as Macquarie), and at sea.
